Mar 14, 2018

The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education (AGFE) provides access to opportunity for high-achieving, underserved Emirati and Arab youth.

To create the next generation of leaders and citizens; empowering youth to write a new Arab Story.

For us, education is more than a process of acquiring knowledge. We believe in its power to give hope, build resilience and unleash possibility. We create opportunities to activate the untapped potential of Arab youth, providing underserved, high-achieving students with the scholarships, support and skills training that they need to thrive.

We imagine a world where our scholars become leaders in their communities and ambassadors of education in the region. We aim to reignite what is already in the region’s DNA: a culture of giving back, a connectedness to community, and a spirit of generosity that creates impact.

We put our scholars first. We tailor our programming to the needs of underserved youth, preparing them for their transition to work, ultimately empowering them to learn for life.

We collaborate closely with our partners. We align with those who share our values. Together, we aspire to lead a more inclusive and transformative vision for education.

We invest in the future of our region. We approach philanthropy as a catalyst for innovation in education and for achieving sustainable development.

Job Description:

AGFE aims to prepare young Emiratis and Arabs to fulfill their potential through access to quality education. Our programs target youth who demonstrate academic and leadership merit but do not have the financial means to pursue a quality education.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Officer to establish, operationalize and manage the Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program’s menu of non-academic components and offerings including but not limited to skills development opportunities, mentorship opportunities, work experience and exposure, community service, community building, scholars’ council and ambassador program and the scholars’ alumni network. He/she is expected to have the ability and desire to help build and grow a start-up into an organization with large impact.

The role will report to the Program Manager – Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program.
