Capacity Development Workshop: Foundations & Civil Society Advocacy in Uncertain Contexts

February 27 @ 2:00 pm - February 28 @ 5:30 pm

Held over two days (3 ½ hrs each) on the 27 and 28 February 2023, this module looks at the diverse tools and approaches that civic actors can use to strengthen their advocacy work in political and social contexts where paucity of data, underdeveloped institutions and uncertain policy contexts can make it challenging to generate evidence to help bridge research with policy and practice.

Tapping into region-specific knowledge and expertise, this workshop focuses on the role of strategic advocacy in the work of foundations and non-profits and aims to build a deeper understanding of the dynamics of advocacy in uncertain and shifting contexts.

The lead trainer is Nadine Wahab, director of Eco-Dahab – Egypt, with guest speaker Elie Abouaoun, director of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) North Africa Programs and the MENA regional Hub – Tunisia.

This is one of a series of capacity development modules that AFF will be offering in 2023. It will be held online.

This module is closed for AFF members only.  Members can register once they log in.
