Milestone Data Report
The Arab region has been of interest to the rest of the world for centuries – the philanthropy sector is no exception – and, while much data is collected and knowledge is produced about the region, there hasn’t been enough data and knowledge produced by the region.
This report maps changes in policies, regulatory framework, and infrastructure influencing civil society in Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon in a pandemic and a recovery context. For more insights, you can read the full report in English and in Arabic.

Philanthropy, the climate crisis and COP27 – a perspective from the Arab region
Naila Farouky is not a climate expert by any stretch of the imagination, and up until 5 years ago, hadn’t really given much thought to the climate crisis in her professional capacity. However, as a representative of the Arab Region’s only network and membership association of philanthropy and civil society actors, She has become engaged in the conversation around climate as much by accident as by necessity.
