The Arab Foundations Forum (AFF), in collaboration with the John D. Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement at the American University in Cairo (AUC), produced an online Arab Encyclopedia on Philanthropy designed to improve access to a more global experience and information among philanthropists and would-be philanthropists in the Arab region, to enhance the professional conduct of Arab foundations, and to foster learning about grant-making and social responsibility. Launched in January 2011, the encyclopedia features Arabic translations of 2,000 pages of material from European and North American philanthropy support organizations.

The encyclopedia is available for download through the Members’ Zone on the AFF website and through the Gerhart Center.

We work throughout North Africa and any of the 22 countries represented in the Arab League, yes. We are a network of foundations and donor agencies and our forum serves as a networking hub, as well as as providing capacity building, and research, and other knowledge for the philanthropic donor sector in the Arab Region. We are NOT a donor and we do not facilitate the connections between donors and grant/fund seekers. Please let me know if you require any additional information by writing us at info@arabfoundationsforum.org
      Thank you.
